Review - Appletters

Appletters is a word game from the company Bananagrams. We have been trying out a few of Bananagrams games lately and Appletters is definitely my girls favourite word game. Like both the Pairs in Pears game and the Bananagrams game, Appletters comes in a beautiful fruit shaped pouch. I absolutely love the design and quality of our Banangrams pouches.

The aim of the game is to work together to create a word worm, by taking it in turns to add a word to the head or tail end of the worm. Appletters is suitable for 1-4 players from age 5 upwards. As well as the main word worm game, Appletters have a few extra challenges you add to the game to make it harder for older children. There is also a solo game called Apple Seed which is an Appletters version of solitaire.

Overall this is our most played game out of the three games. It's absolutely perfect for the developemental stage of my 5 year old and my 8 year old loves to play with her sister and alone. Every night before bed we play either Appletters, Bananagrams or Pairs in Pears. It's become a very much welcomed tradition of ours. You can buy Appletters here for £13.97 or from most good toy or book stores. As well as the three games we have, Bananagrams currently have two different games, Fruitominoes and Zip-It, both of which we plan on adding to our wonderful new word games.

Bananagrams have a whole range of fun, educational games. We also tried two other games from the Bananagrams, you can find out what we thought of Bananagrams here, and Pairs in Pears here, and also find out where you can buy them.
