Last Month I was lucky enough to receive a Kidicraft Angel Malma ball kit to review, from Kids One Stop Shop. Angel Malma is an eco-friendly craft toy for children, that provides endless creative opportunities. Definitely something to keep little hands busy time and time again. My girls loved creating these balls, even Tia, my fussy 4 year old, sat still long enough to make one! Abi has asked that we get more at Christmas time so she can make them for the family as gifts, such a great (and sweet!) idea.
When the ball kit first arrived I was pleasantly surprised with how big the balls actually were, I had expected golf ball sized balls but these are bigger than tennis balls. In the box you receive enough parts to make 24 balls, which is the perfect size for school and activity groups to use. You can buy this kit here, for £24.99. Excellent value for money
Once we had everything organised and set up, we had so much fun from start to end. Abi and I glued the balls together following the easy step by step instructions, included in the box. We let them dry for a while whilst we got the paints ready, then when they felt dry we were good to go. I created a leopard print ball whilst Tia made a colourful masterpiece! Abi was in her element thinking of designs and putting them to work, she made named ones and a head, then decided she wanted to be creative and have a fancy patterned ball.
I was really pleased with how well the balls stuck together and how quickly the paint seemed to dry on them. We added glitter glue and then displayed them on our wall using a strip of ribbon and some hair clips (which we have now swapped for clothes pegs!). Overall We absolutely love this Angel Malma set and look forward to creating different designs on different shapes in the future!
On a seperate note, we originally bought glue from ELC and once it dried, it had vanished and the balls became unstuck. We found a cheap pritt stick whilst waiting to get to the shops for better glue and it worked really well. Goes to show the more expensive choice doesn't always mean a better choice!
