Last year we were introduced to Little Live Pets Tweet Talking Birds available from Character. My daughters absolutely adored them and were lucky enough to get more from Santa. Last month we were introduced to another pretty Little Live Pet available from Character, the Flutter Wings Butterfly. We received Precious Paris, a vibrant pink and glitzy butterfly, part of the second series of Flutter Wings Butterflies. My girls were in love with Precious instantly. She comes with a charging base and a window sucker. The butterfly neatly sits on its base, which requires 2xAA batteries. Once charged the butterfly can sit in the palm of your hand, on the base or even on your window, whilst it flutters it's wings. Just like the real thing!
The butterfly is really pretty but very delicate. I don't think it would be great for heavy handed children. It is aimed for five years old and up but my six year old is still a bit of a rough player and would easily damage its tiny wings! However my nine year old absolutely adores it and loves displaying it on her window. We give the Flutter Wings Butterfly four stars. It looks lovely, it works well but is just a bit too breakable for younger children. I think the Talking Bird is best for younger kids and the Butterfly works well with older kids.
