Rubber band bracelets have been a huge trend lately with school girls aged 5-12 years old. My girls are 5y and 8y and definitely fit into this category of 'rubber band fanatics'! I was really impressed with the colour choice in this set. My girls have used different rubber band sets and there hasn't been nearly as many different shades to choose from. The first thing we noticed when sorting through the rubber bands was a lot of broken bands. I didn't hold high hopes for these bracelets withstanding the tugging and pulling that occurs on the loom, but surprisingly they are actually quite hard to break!
Once we had separated some colours out, ready to create the bracelets, we gave the instructions a thorough read-through! The instruction book has really clear and simple instructions, diagrams and images to follow, teaching you how to create several different designed bracelets. There are also many different designs that can be found online too. I also read in the instructions that you can connect more looms together which allow you to create wider bracelets, or perhaps longer ones to make into belts!
