We are big fans of the Cool Create range available from Flair. They have a fantastic range of activity sets that my girls absolutely love. We have been really loving their new Cool Bandz set. Cool Bandz make a great change from the constant loom bands I am forever being bombarded with! These wrist bands are so easy to make and look so trendy, especially during this festival season. The Cool Bandz set includes:
- Bracelet making unit with storage
- 24 colourful wrist band strips
- 12 plastic buckles
- A sticker sheet
- A gems sheet
- An adhesive tape roll
- Instructions
Once the unit was assembled the girls had great fun choosing and decorating their bands. The instructions were easy to follow and the bands are easy to make. Once shown, both of my girls (5 years and 9 years old) were able to create them by themselves. After the girls had designed their bands they used the unit to laminate the band and then punch holes in it to add the buckles.
Overall I was really surprised at how easy the bands were to assemble! It makes a nice change having crafty activities that the girls can do completely by themselves! Once the patterned bands are finished it will be easy enough to cut out plain paper or even recycle old magazines to create some completely unique bands. I especially love the fact that the bands and gems can be stored in the unit and don't have to be left lying around or lost in boxes!
